Position Summary:
We are looking for a highly motivated Technical Writer III with demonstrated experience in developing, writing, and editing material for proposals and related technical and administrative publications. May assist in layout work. This can include the following:
- Develops, writes and edits material for reports, manuals, briefs, instructions books, catalogs and related technical and administrative publications.
- Assists in collecting and organizing information required for preparation of user's manuals, training materials, installation guides, proposals, and reports.
- Edits functional descriptions and system specifications.
- Understand basic concepts including grammar, for writing technical copy for various types of documents.
- Gather technical information and prepare written text.
- Maintain a current internal documentation library.
- Prepare reports, responses, and briefings targeted to a wide range of audience.
- Documents shall employ style sheets, templates, and other built-in capabilities that ensure accurate, clear, understandable material for readers and for presentations.
- A journeyman level person typically performs all functional duties independently.
Job Responsibilities:
- Plan, develop, organize, write, and edit technical procedures, manuals, and guides for training modules and software platforms.
- Develop Getting Started and/or QuickStart Guides.
- Work with internal teams to create/document internal business processes.
- Produce electronic documentation in addition to hard copy materials.
- Analyze documents to maintain continuity of style of content.
- Manages updates and revisions to technical literature as needed.
- Conduct instructional research.
- Approach complex challenges head-on, possess excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to understand, translate, and document learning requirements.
Required Qualifications:
- Talent in showing ideas graphically.
- Ability to write in a clear, concise manner, utilizing visuals to tell the story
- Proven experience working in a technical writing field or similar.
- Able to write in explanatory and procedural styles.
- Ability to interact with subject matter experts and product developers.
- Ability to storyboard.
- Excited, passionate, proactive and self-motivated with an enthusiasm for learning.
- Must be able to adapt to new technologies.
- Exceptional research and time management skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Skilled at prioritization and multi-tasking.
- Proficiency in MS Office.
- Bachelor's 5 years experience or 7 years experience
Desired Qualifications:
- B.S. Degree in English, Writing, Communications or related field.
- Experience in proposal management.
- Experience in copy editing.

Remote Work Requirements
This position will be hired to work remotely in a home office environment. The candidate must demonstrate the ability to work remotely under minimal supervision, have availability to high-speed internet, and have a dedicated workspace that facilitates an ability to perform the essential functions of this job with or without accommodation.
