Technica LLC seeks to fill the position of Travel Clerk I on a Government contract with a place of performance at Ft. Bliss, TX.
Position Responsibilities:
- Perform transportation duties to facilitate government sponsored personal property shipments.
- Serves as a tier level team member in duties and tasks involving receipt, storage, issue and shipment of personal property.
- Follow clearly detailed specific procedures in completing several repetitive clerical steps performed in a prescribed or slightly varied sequence.
- Operate basic office equipment, e.g., photocopier, facsimile, multi-line phone/voicemail systems, mailing machines, and minimal computer programs.
- Familiar with the terminology of the office unit.
- Performs various aspects of clerical work such as storage management, cataloging, code, label and file documents in an extensive alphabetical file.
- Select appropriate methods from a wide variety of procedures or makes simple adaptations and interpretations of a limited number of substantive guides and manuals.
- Refer recognized problems to others.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Maintain a safe work record.
Basic Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 18 years of age
- Valid state driver's license
- Must pass pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check
- Must be a US Citizen or US permanent resident for more than 3 years in order to obtain NACI and CAC Card eligibility.
- Must have a minimum of 1 year relevant experience.
- Must possess excellent mathematical, written and verbal communication skills.
- Familiar with Department of Defense Transportation and Travel Regulations
- Must be able to read, interpret, comprehend, retain, and execute pertinent Travel regulations.
- Must be able to operate keyboard, controlled data entry devices, typewriter and other office machines
- Past experience requires 2 years minimum expertise in multiple computer software programs.
- Experience in the operation of all office machines required.
- Extremely customer focused and ability to multi-task.
- Ability to brief small and large groups of people
