IT Knowledge Management (SharePoint)
JOB SUMMARY
The IT Knowledge Manager will aid in information exchange and capture of information technology knowledge within the Training directorate of the Army G-3/5/7
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Creates joint activities with the stakeholders through workshops, meetings, and training.
- Strengthens connections to aid in information exchange within established or new systems.
- Supports Leadership to maintain or establish unity in the organization.
- Introduces and implements new ideas.
- Executes info technology within the Training directorate
- Helps transition data into SharePoint by installing, configuring and upgrading SharePoint systems, managing system operations and services, helping to train and support business users on SharePoint usage and backing up SharePoint data.
- Design and analyze processes for easier distribution of information; formulates action plans; manages teams and multi-faceted projects; recognizes the strengths and weaknesses of the directorate and creates improvements on them; enhances and makes sure that new knowledge processes are applied in the directorate’s systems; improves and modifies the knowledge management structure of the directorate.
- Ability to work independently with little supervision, handling multiple deadlines and projects.
- Skills in planning, organizing, problem-solving, managing multiple tasks and attention to detail.
- Other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Four year degree (BA or BS) from an accredited university or college.
- 5 Years Knowledge Management in an IT environment desired.
- SharePoint developer or administration experience highly desired.
- Experience in a field related to Army civilian or military training, doctrine, or resource management desired
- HQDA staff experience preferred
- Secret clearance
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:
- Proficiency in MS Office Applications
- KM certification preferred.
- Strong knowledge of SharePoint preferred
- Working knowledge of Army Training and PPBE is plus.
- Ability to understand and interpret Army policies and procedures
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
- Ability to maintain poise and courtesy under pressure; to handle sensitive and confidential matters with discretion and tact
- Ability to organize and execute multiple assignments under specific time constraints with general instructions
- Ability to operate standard office equipment and keyboards.

The safe use of TAPE equipment, as well as safe practices while on TAPE property is essential.
