Troubleshoot and solve problematic builds and hydro tests. Must demonstrate effective problem solving/decision making to positively impact On Time Delivery. Responsible for training and mentoring other assemblers in various areas of assembly, paint and testing. Responsible for understanding the part reports, routing operations, relevant QAP’s, Q Specs, ASY Specs, TST Specs, SOPs, and customer requirements concerning assembly, test, and paint, and insuring adherence to all. Provides positive mentorship for assemblers.
Job description
Safely set up and perform variety of assemblies, stamping machines, paint, and hydro tests.
Perform Autonomous Maintenance and routine preventative maintenance to ensure various equipment performance is maintained
Perform in-process and first piece inspection
Performs daily housekeeping duties
Supports Lean/Duggan Processes
Properly completes required documentation of log sheets, test charts, WIP
You are meant for this job if
Fully competent in all functions and responsibilities of Assembler Grade 12
High School diploma or GED required
3 or more years in FMCTI assembly, high pressure hydro test, and paint
Must have the ability to build, test, and paint in three different product families
Active member of Impact Quality and understanding principles of Zero Defect and PONC
Self-motivated
Some travel may be required to customers work locations
Acceptable Attendance
Ability to lead in a team environment
Work Environment
- Majority of time spent in climate-controlled shop environment.
- Exposure to high noise, machinery and possible hazards when performing tasks in manufacturing areas of the plant.
- Position requires bending, stooping, and repetitive lifting of components up to 50lbs. .
