Job Purpose

  • Ensure the enterprise digital platform aligns with business needs and is highly capable, easy to use, stable, secure, scalable and cost-effective
  • Provide digital services needed to support accelerating digital growth
  • Provide expert technical guidance related to system architecture, service interfaces, security controls, platform health maintenance, and change management

Job Description

  • Lead international teams of platform developers to extend platform functionality to fulfill the enterprise needs for digital web and microservices
  • Work with the business, development teams and development groups to understand and identify needs and opportunities. Align business needs with the platform vision and translate the needs into a roadmap of platform features and vet the delivery of these features with the platform director and value stream managers. Lead platform team to develop varied product and service templates
  • Ensure platform operations remain secure and resilient
  • Monitor operations and provide for technical support in line with SLA expectations
  • Track user adoption and service costs. Ensure platform scales with demand. Work to increase net value generated
  • Work within Scaled Agile Framework to manage platform. Develop features, prioritize stories, and approve completed items
  • Continuously optimize operations and lower cost of value delivery through improving CI/CD and other platform services
  • Maintain and improve testing processes to ensure high quality, reliable and maintainable solutions
  • Ensure team applies Scaled Agile Methodology
  • Contribute to our innovative culture to develop new solutions and adapt to latest technology
  • Update own knowledge by studying state-of-the-art development tools, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks, and participating in professional organizations where possible

You Are Meant For This Job If

  • MSc in Computer Science or Computer Engineering required
  • AWS Solutions Architect Certification or equivalent knowledge
  • SAFe Product Owner / Product Manager Certification
  • At least 10 years of software development experience
  • At least 5 years of AWS experience
  • At least 10 years working in an Agile/Scrum team environment
  • At least 5 years implementing or operating DevOps
  • Fluent in react, hibernate, spring, graphQL, html, sql, nosql, bash, java, and kotlin
  • Significant prior experience with Cloud Formation, Terraform, Lambda, IAM, CloudWatch, EKS, ECS, and other AWS services
  • Competent with CI/CD tools like Github Actions or Jenkins
  • Experience with software testing tools
  • Experience being a change advocate. Identifying areas of opportunity and proactively promoting improved solutions.
  • Knowledgeable in service-oriented development (micro services), system modelling, and API design
  • Knowledgeable of developing software in an extreme programming environment
  • Experience with database administration
  • Awareness of design methodologies and user-centered collaborative development
  • Capable of structuring information and effectively communicating insights
  • Capable of delivering presentations and publications
  • Values delighting customers, collaboration, and innovation
