Job Description

Job Title: E-Testing Specialist
Reports To: Operations Manager / Team Leader
Department: E-Test
Office Location: Varies

Summary: Testing and preparation of products for eMarketing and Finished Goods Inventory; follow customer material handling requirements; scan and record audit information for designated customers; maintain current on all training and processes for product testing and product identification.

Requirements:
Two (2) or more years of experience with computer software and or hardware

Successful completion of Background Investigation to include but not limited to Social Security
Trace/Validation; Criminal Felony & Misdemeanor Search (all counties of residence), Statewide
Criminal Search (all states of residence) and Employment Verification for the past 7 years; Drug
Testing; Subsequent random Background Investigation and Drug Testing.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Although this may be your primary duty or function, you are expected to be cross-trained in other areas of the business and assist in those areas on an as-needed basis.

  • Product preparation o Testing of incoming assets for function, including but not limited to: hard drives, memory modules, monitors, personal computers and peripheral devices. o Cleaning as needed for presentation, and destruction of failed hard drives o Evaluation and repair of products having appropriate resale value to warrant it
  • Material handling/Process material using Technology Conservation Group’s guidelines in-line with the provided work instructions o Manage the handling of data containing devices with sensitive data and ensure they are processed according to our data security policy and the customers’ requirements
  • Scan material and record specified information for designated customers o Use hand scanner to record information into spreadsheet o Visually discern and recorded required information into spreadsheet o Inventory material into spreadsheet o Attention to detail and 100% accuracy is a must
  • Understand Technology Conservation Group’s QEHS processes and procedures
  • Demonstrate Continuous effort to o Improve operations o Decrease turnaround times o Streamline work processes o Work cooperatively and jointly to provide quality seamless customer service
  • Exercise independent judgment in maintaining the routine flow or work
  • Compliance with all company security policies and procedures
  • Cross train in other areas as needed
  • Meet daily quotas
  • Occasional mandatory overtime

Physical Demands

  • Frequently required to reach with hands and arms
  • Remain in a standing position for extended periods of time
  • View a computer screen for extended periods of time
  • Able to hear, see and talk. Hear average or normal conversations and receive ordinary information. Vision abilities include close, distance, peripheral, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Speaking abilities to frequently convey detailed or important instructions or ideas accurately, loudly or quickly
  • Repetitive motion movements using wrists, hands and /or fingers
  • Must be able to climb ladder to locate parts in bins
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Must be able to pull and/or push up to 1000 pounds using pallet jack
  • Stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl
  • Must use and /or wear required safety equipment at all times

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

  • Knowledge of system hardware i.e.: modems, video cards, processors, memory, drive etc.
  • Knowledge of MS Word, Excel and Outlook as well as familiarity with working on other

Microsoft Office products, Windows 7/10 Operating systems

  • Past experience troubleshooting hardware and software issues
  • Computer repair, maintaining a static free workplace
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize workload
  • Team player with initiative and excellent interpersonal skills
  • Flexible, adaptable, creative and results-oriented
  • Understanding security concerns when using password protected internet accounts and resources.
  • High comfort level working with sensitive test equipment
  • Organization
