WAREHOUSE SPECIALIST, (Austin, TX)
The Lifecycle Services Division, is searching for Warehouse Specialists for our established location in Humble, TX. The Configuration Center handles technology repair services, device management, and initial deployment and post deployment support services.
- Monday-Friday 8 AM-5 PM Shift
- Rate: $15-17/hour Benefits and PTO
- Our Warehouse location is in the 78758 zip code.
- This is a contract role without an end date. It is an ongoing 40 hour a week, hourly, entry-level position with opportunity for advancement.

The Warehouse Specialists will act at the direction of the Senior Manager of the Configuration Center and other Managers.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Warehouse Specialist is responsible for completing a variety of assigned tasks in support of the Configuration Center’s mission of providing technology devices to public school students. Tasks will vary due to needs at each milestone in the overall Deployment Project Plan. Assignments may change on a daily basis. In addition, Warehouse Specialist may occasionally serve as drivers on an 'as needed' basis when primary drivers are unavailable.
Scanners - Scanning incoming computer equipment in our database
Sorters – Sort computers by their school district and status
Trash Removal – All incoming device boxes need to be placed in the dumpster after emptying
Shelving – All equipment has to be warehoused appropriately
Imaging – For all equipment that requires imaging
Labelers – Place an assignment label on all computers
Asset Tagging – Place asset tags on all technology devices
Load and unload vans for computers that are being delivered or picked up.
Driving responsibilities- will be on an as-needed basis and routes will be in Metro area. You may be driving a van or a '26 box truck.
- Responsible for ensuring the highest level of quality service and adherence to TIG and client policies and procedures.
- Maintain a professional appearance.
- General knowledge of principles and processes for providing excellent customer service. This includes meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
- When driving, obey traffic laws and follows established traffic and transportation procedures.
- Turn in all paperwork received from deliveries.
- When driving, follows written or verbal geographic directions.
- Verifies the contents of inventory loads against delivery manifests.
- Additional tasks as deemed necessary by manager to meet business requirements
Experience, Skills and Abilities Requested
- A proven work history of reliable employment
- Ability to troubleshoot very basic computer issues.
- Previous experience driving a '26 Box Truck.
- Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs. with no restrictions.
- Ability to pass a background check.
- Clean driving record is a required. (No DUI’s)
- High school diploma/GED Required
- Ability to label computers neatly
- Excellent time management skills
- Ability to maintain a professional appearance at all times
- Ability to work as team in a professional environment
- Ability to accurately and legibly fill out paperwork
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks
- Strong attention to detail with focus on quality
- Excellent interpersonal and oral/written communications skills
- Able to positively interface with employees and customers
- Ability to work within a team
PREFERRED CANDIDATES will need to have the following:
- TIG will financially support the pursuit of relevant certifications once you are employed.
- Comptia A certification is preferred
- Technical Repair Coursework (ECPI, etc.)
- 2 years associate degree or relevant experience
