UAT Tester-
Day to day activities:• Work within an Agile team
• Analyze requirements, plan and prepare test data.
• Design, write and implement testing scripts, test tools, SQL queries, and test drivers for a cloud-based collateral system.
• Create, modify, and maintain necessary test data, including XML and JSON formats.
• Create, review, validate and maintains a comprehensive regression test suite.
• Ensure that test case standards are adhered to for all test cases included in regression suite.
• Executes regression suite, reporting results and issues in a timely and accurate manner.
• Maintain awareness of new software testing tools and trends within the software testing industry.
• Report and track problems by providing reproducible test cases, and working with other product team members to close problem reports.
• Provide the test lead with accurate estimated LOE for updating the regression suite and executing test cases.
• Conduct root cause analysis of identified defects, providing development/business partners with sufficient detail to understand, replicate and resolve.
Must have’s:
• Strong logic and analytical skills.
• The Test Engineer should have a BS in Computer Science, Engineering, or Mathematics.
• 3-5 years of hands on software testing experience.
• Should be familiar with current software testing methodologies to include risk based, boundary, black box and white box testing.
• Must have a solid understanding of the SDLC, configuration management, and release cycles.
• Demonstrated experience with Agile tools (JIRA, X-Ray, Rally, or similar).
• Attention to detail is critical for this role.
• Must have strong XML/JSON generation and manipulation skills.
• Must have strong SQL knowledge, should be able to develop complex queries.
• Demonstrates knowledge of some or all of the following: Postman, SoapUI, Swagger, Oracle, Oracle RDS, DynamoDB, S3, etc
Like to have’s:
• Amazon Web Services Cloud experience
• Data driven test, and validation techniques.
• ASQ or QAI Certification
