Job Description
Techstaff has immediate full and part-time openings for inspectors to join our water conservation inspection team. The Tampa Bay region is experiencing a drier than normal year. According to the Southwest Florida Management Water District (SWFWMD), the region saw a 9.2-inch rainfall deficit between October 2022 and September 2023. Due to these drought conditions, the SWFWMD has issued a Modified Phase 1 Water Shortage for Hillsborough, Pinellas, and Pasco Counties.
In this role, you will patrol the City of Tampa (vehicle provided) in support of the enforcement of the irrigation ordinance and to promote water conservation.
Interested candidates should have the following:
- A valid Florida Driver's License and the ability to pass a points based motor vehicle check.
- Customer Service skills to include a friendly demeanor with the ability to explain complex regulations.
- Excellent writing skills to complete documents in an accurate and readable manner.
- Familiarity with local roads and driving directions.
Candidates will be selected to fill various full and part-time shifts. We have patrol staff working 7 days a week including day and night shifts. Schedules range from 8-40 hours per week.
