We are seeking an experienced Office 365 and SharePoint Administrator to maintain and support our enterprise-level Office 365 and SharePoint environments. The successful candidate will act as a primary support and escalation point, providing high-level user support to ensure seamless operation and accessibility of our core systems. This role requires a combination of technical expertise and customer service skills to effectively manage system infrastructures and address user needs.
Responsibilities:
- Administer and support Office 365 and SharePoint environments, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
- Act as an escalation point for lower-level System Administrators, providing level 2-3 support and resolving complex helpdesk requests.
- Monitor and manage system security, including user access and authentication, ensuring compliance with IT policies.
- Troubleshoot issues across Office 365 applications and SharePoint platforms, advising on appropriate actions to resolve technical problems.
- Maintain regular communication with team members and other departments to foster trust and teamwork.
- Coordinate and perform regular system updates, backups, and security checks.
- Assist in the design and implementation of new SharePoint sites and customize Office 365 applications to meet business requirements.
- Provide training and support to users on effective use of Office 365 and SharePoint tools.
- Participate in IT department meetings to discuss project progress and strategies for system improvements.
Required Skills:
- Proven experience in managing and configuring Office 365 and SharePoint environments.
- Strong understanding of network protocols such as TCP/IP, DNS, and SMTP, as well as Azure AD and ADFS.
- Experience in hybrid cloud environments, particularly Azure/AWS.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
- Proficient in system security practices, including endpoint and application security.
- Ability to effectively communicate, both verbally and in writing, with technical and non-technical staff.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, with at least 5 years of relevant experience.
- Extensive knowledge of networking hardware, virtualization technologies, and cloud services.
- Experience with SQL Server and familiarity with Microsoft IIS/ASP.NET technologies.
- Professional certification in Microsoft technologies, such as Office 365 or Azure Fundamentals, is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to mentor junior staff and manage projects.
Working Conditions:
- Must be willing to participate in a 24x7 on-call rotation.
- Must reside within commutable distance to Alpharetta, GA and able to work a Hybrid schedule of 3 days in office and 2 days’ work from home.
