Job Description
Project Manager should have extensive background designing/fabricating HVAC/sheet metal parts for the Navy Fleet. Candidate must be able to read/interpret US Naval and marine industry drawings and perform shipboard surveys to create parts needed IAW referenced drawings utilizing tools such as CAD, Solidworks, and other machine programing software. The ideal candidate should be detail oriented, and have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Communication skills are vital, as the candidate will be assigned Projects to oversee, inclusive of tracking progress and working directly with customers and supporting the Fabrication HVAC Program. The Project Manager will provide technical knowledge in regards to Navy Standard HVAC inclusive of build details, vent duct testing, vent balancing etc. as it relates to supporting the installation projects as well.
Requirements
- Degree in relative field or completion of an accredited 4 year apprenticeship
- Minimum of 10 years using 2D/3D software to create parts/layouts
- Strong skills in all Microsoft Office Suite software programs
- Experience using programming software to create ventilation parts
- Experience fabricating/installing ventilation on Navy Vessels is preferred
- Experience with hand layouts/patterns/orthographic projection
- Ability to sit for an extended period of time
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to collaborated with others to solve problems
- Knowledge of NAVSEA standard items and MIL-STD-1689A
- Ability to perform shipboard surveys on Navy Vessels (Ability to climb vertical ladders/stairwells)
- Must be able to pass background check and gain access to Navy Vessels
- Some travel may be required (less than 10%)
