POSITION SUMMARY:
The mission of the Demand Analyst is to direct and support the activities related to coordinating monthly, quarterly and annual demand planning and the correlating supply needs, in collaboration with the sales, operations and supply chain teams. This outcome is achieved through the use of the company ERP system and a variety of tools and models, to analyze demand vs. supply, and identify the resources required to achieve the company’s demand plan. This position drives the S&OP/SIOP process (Sales, Inventory and Operations Planning) monthly cycle within the factory by coordinating the Demand Planning, Supply Planning, Integrated Reconciliation and Executive Review.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Successfully coordinates and drives the elements of the SIOP process including Product Review, Demand Review, Supply Review, Integrated Reconciliation and Executive Review.
- Effectively drives continuous improvement of the SIOP process in collaboration with the Sales, Supply Chain and Operations teams.
- Analyzes, formats and loads the customer forecast into the rough cut capacity planning models and ERP system.
- Collaborates with operations leaders to level load the operations, through development and execution of rough-cut capacity planning and the SIOP process monthly cycles.
- Documents the outcomes of the SIOP process steps, and follows up on actions effectiveness and completion.
- Collaborates with the operations team to ensure continually improving the accuracy of supply planning model parameters.
- Monitors, analyzes and modifies ERP configuration strategies to optimize balance of inventory capacity and resources, and customer service levels.
- Collaborates with the finance and supply chain departments to analyze slow moving inventory and material acquisition strategies to minimize excess and obsolescence.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
Proficient in 3D Modeling/Drafting, Siemens NX (Unigraphics)
- Good working knowledge of manufacturing methods, processes (i.e. machining methods)
- Familiar with design controls
- Relies heavily on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Excellent data entry skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and exercise judgment.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE DESIRED
- Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university (Business, Supply Chain, or Technical preferred).
- A minimum of one (1) to three (3) of progressive experience in professional Materials, Master Scheduling, Demand or Supply Planning position(s), preferably in high-mix, low-volume environment
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
Strong materials management skills including Planning and Scheduling, Inventory Control, Transactional Management, General Forecasting including Forecast processes, techniques, and/or software experience as well as critical thinking and problem solving capability.- A team player that can relate to people at all levels of the organization and possesses excellent communication skills.
- An energetic, forward-thinking and creative individual with high ethical standards and a positive professional attitude.
- Ability to be flexible and able to function comfortably in a fast paced, constantly changing and ambiguous environment.
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, customers, suppliers, and employees.
- Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference.
- Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
- Excellent knowledge of ERP systems, as well as manufacturing process and procedures, and the ability to share this knowledge with others.
- Computer skills: General MS Word, Excel and Power Point are mandatory,
- Advanced MS Excel Skills.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE PREFERED
- Bachelors Degree in Business or Supply Chain Preferred
- APICS/ISM/Supply Chain certification or willingness to complete first 3 modules of APICS CPIM certification program (or equivalent) within two years of employment is preferred.
