What are the responsibilities and job description for the Social Media Coordinator position at Tecovas?
Position Description:
The Social Media Coordinator will lead the planning and execution of Tecovas organic social and community efforts. This includes, but is not limited to planning the organic calendar, sourcing and developing photographer and influencer relationships, finding opportunities to grow our organic and off-line community, and supporting our marketing goals. While our new Social Media coordinator will ideally have a social or copywriting background, they should also have some familiarity or experience with content sourcing.
Key responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain a content calendar that supports key brand and community initiatives, product launches, and business objectives.
- Partner with our creative team and outside partners to generate engaging content.
- Own all scheduling and posting of content.
- Collaborate with the Customer Experience team in order to maintain 100% response rate on all social comments, reviews, tags, and direct messages.
- Analyze community response to current content strategy and make recommendations accordingly.
- Stay up-to-date with social media strategy through competitor research, platform exploration, performance analytics.
- Identify, develop and manage new social platforms and opportunities to support brand and business objectives.
- Develop and manage influencer/brand ambassador relationships.
- Identify opportunities for cross-promotion and help execute partnership terms and criteria for marketing.
- Source and manage relationships with photographers and content producers in order to build a usable and predictable source of content for use on all social channels.
- Weave coherent narratives across multiple social media platforms to raise brand awareness.
- Support brand collaborations, events, and activations as they align with the social media strategy.
- Direct point of contact for PR agencies, magazines, stylists, and celebrities in regards to sample pulls and collaborations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree and 2+ years of experience in social media, brand marketing, creative copywriting or community management, preferably with direct-to-consumer brand.
- Aptitude to understand who our customer is and become an expert in Tecovas.
- Track record of building strong brands.
- Customer-focused with experience using data/research to back up assertions of business value.
- Strong analytical skills. Able to synthesize information and turn insights into actions.
- Strong creative eye. Able to predict with a reasonable degree of certainty whether or not a post will be well received.
- Possess a deep understanding of the various functional aspects of a marketing organization, plus digital, social, and offline media landscapes.
- Willingness to work hard and roll up sleeves to get work done, even when at times it is outside the scope of the job; previous experience with a rapid growth company a plus.
- Strong project management skills – ensure project milestones are met according to commitments; ability to manage and prioritize a wide variety of project types that vary in scope and scale and excel in a lean work environment.
