Location: East Hartford, CT (Onsite Only)
Job Type: Temporary, Full-time
Salary: $19.24/hr
Work Type: Temporary 3-4 month contract
Responsibilities:
- Process paper applications for the Summer EBT (Electronic Benefit Transfer) project.
- Assist in facilitating the free school lunch program for children during the summer.
- Determine eligibility based on household size and income criteria.
- Review applications thoroughly, contacting applicants for additional information when necessary.
- Enter application data accurately into the system.
- Send out notifications to applicants regarding the status of their applications.
- Ensure minimal drop-off of applicants before they start, to avoid additional expenses such as background checks.
- Conduct video interviews with applicants.
- Obtain associate degree transcripts from applicants.
- Conduct drug tests; marijuana will not be tested for.
- Verify typing speed with a minimum requirement of 40 words per minute; screenshot of test results required.
- Obtain at least one reference from the applicant's previous position; ideally, two references should be provided.
Requirements:
- Associate degree required; transcripts must be provided.
- Experience with eligibility criteria and/or application processing preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with applicants to gather necessary information.
- Proficiency in computer applications and data entry.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to undergo background and drug test (excluding marijuana).
- Ability to provide at least one reference from the last position held
