We are seeking a Facilities Engineer for our Huntington, Indiana Plant.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for knowing and following Corporate and Plant Safety rules for this Teijin Automotive Technologies facility.
- Support plant by training associates in hydraulic concepts and integrated electrical controls associated with plant specific machinery and equipment.
- Evaluation of hydraulic & controls systems.
- Establish standardization with preventative maintenance systems.
- Support facility with assistance in trouble shooting and repairing equipment. (Mainly hydraulic presses and Compression molding machines as well as other equipment and machinery).
- Assist in resolving mechanical issues associated with Compression molding equipment.
- Ability to function effectively in a team environment.
- Ensure compliance with all IATF-16949 and IS0-14001 requirements and prevention of recurring nonconformance when noticed.
- Develop training programs to grow plant level associates and reduce downtime associated with hydraulic system failures.
- Manage Projects meeting deadlines and budgets with regards to equipment reliability and capability.
- Installation of Equipment and machinery including steam, vacuum, cooling water, secondary hydraulics, power and air.
Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
- At least 10 years of experience in manufacturing, facilities, capitol equipment with five plus years of experience in the Hydraulics field.
- Excellent working knowledge of hydraulic systems typically used in a Compression and Injection Molding applications.
- High proficiency in reading hydraulic and electrical schematics.
- Knowledge of high pressure pipe, hose and tubing fabrication/installation.
- Knowledge of Oilgear, Vickers, Parker and Rexroth hydraulic components and their application in the field.
- Ability to determine flow and pressures in a hydraulic systems
- Allen Bradley PLC control knowledge required
- Personal computer skills required, Microsoft Office, 2d AutoCAD.
- Communication skills both oral and written required.
