Job Posting for Quality Control Manager at Tek-Pal
We are currently seeking a dedicated Quality Control Manager to join our team and support ongoing construction projects in El Centro, CA. The Quality Control Manager will play a crucial role in ensuring that project performance aligns with contract requirements and maintains high standards of quality. This position reports directly to the on-site Project Manager and carries full authority to coordinate rework for non-conforming work, with overall responsibility for meeting performance objectives and standards.
Responsibilities:
Develop comprehensive plans and procedures for all quality control programs.
Implement and oversee quality assurance plans and procedures throughout the project lifecycle.
Manage the submittal process, ensuring timely and accurate completion.
Generate inspection reports and maintain documentation to support findings.
Collaborate with the Project Manager to develop orientation programs, ensuring project teams are well-versed in the Project Quality Plan and other relevant quality matters.
Liaise with owner representatives on all quality-related matters.
Ensure that quality-related site activities comply with applicable codes and standards.
Coordinate quality site inspections through external QC testing services.
Compile and complete all quality control documentation for as-built recording.
Monitor and address all non-conformance reports, implementing necessary remedial actions.
Review contract specifications and schedule required inspections and testing.
Oversee the implementation of the approved on-site QC Plan.
Prepare and coordinate the approval of QC technical submittals to the customer.
Report issues, problems, accomplishments, and results related to contract performance to the Project Manager.
Maintain the current status of all technical documents relevant to site quality control.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 4 years of field experience in preparing and enforcing quality control programs for government and commercial construction projects.
In-depth knowledge of all building trades and familiarity with applicable building codes.
Bachelor's degree in a related discipline or certification as a Construction Quality Manager.
Prior experience working on government contracts or large commercial facilities is highly desirable.
Applicants with a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or other relevant disciplines are preferred.
Proficiency in computer skills, with a working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs.
