What will you be doing?
Proposal Responsibilities:
- Review, analyze and assess RFP/RFI/RFQs (key focus on required logistics to develop optimal storytelling structure, with a focus on preparing a compelling response).
- Facilitate the RFP process to ensure a steady flow of information. This includes creating a responsibility matrix to assign content owners, working with the Proposal Manager to develop a project plan, and tracking against agreed timelines for critical milestones.
- Guide and navigate the response team on proposal Best Practices.
- Collaborate with the bid response team to ensure timely delivery of well-written, high-quality content.
- Search for and/or craft written responses that align with the specific opportunity.
- Manage, review and edit incoming content from multiple sources to ensure a single-voice approach.
- Format and finalize proposal packages for delivery.
Content, Maintenance and Training Responsibilities:
- Implement the RFP process and optimize for effectiveness and efficiency.
- Serve as the Teknion Brand Ambassador for RFP-type client-facing documents.
- Help to maintain resource materials, including responsibility for supporting the development of new content and templates (updates to WriteNow, MyTeknion or other repositories).
- Provide training, insight and demonstration of the RFP process to new Sales personnel and Teknion Dealers (individually conducted or as part of annual Boot Camp training sessions).
- Provide supplementary support for RFPs and incoming requests (e.g. content search and/or draft, template development, technology direction).
What skills, experience and education are we looking for?
- Post-secondary Degree or Diploma in Marketing/Communications, Business Administration, Arts, Journalism, or related discipline.
- Superior time management and organizational skills.
- Detail-oriented and able to work in a fast-paced environment with short turn-around times.
- Strong people skills and ability to work as a team.
- Ability to follow procedures and methodology and make suggestions for improvements.
- Personal initiative and leadership to complete projects without direction.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills required (including ability to write and edit – fluency in French is an asset)
- Experience in developing client-facing presentations, proposals and other content using MS PowerPoint, while applying best practices for using images and visuals.
- Knowledgeable in applying brand guidelines to edit submissions for aesthetics, voice, tone, and messaging.
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and the ability to quickly adapt to new technologies.
- 3 to 5 years experience developing and managing proposals.
