Job description:
The Manager of IT Planning & Governance is a key role in the IT leadership team. This role is accountable for coordinating and facilitating the development of IT Strategy, IT Financial Management, Project/Program Management and Metrics.
This role will also be the liaison for IT vendor management to ensure strategic partnerships to fulfil the technology needs of BXC business.
KEY TASKS / RESPONSIBILITIES:
IT Planning & Governance:
· Responsible for strategic planning and directing IT governance function, including staff, contracts, and budgets.
· Develop IT governance model and processes to achieve a flexible, efficient, and cost-effective approach in Information Technology function.
· Facilitate for overall development of the IT Strategy and policy creation.
· Ensure and monitor effective implementations of the policies and procedures.
· Work with the CIO and IT Leadership team to identify business improvement opportunities and drive the execution of solutions.
· In collaboration with FP&A team, coordinate development of annual IT budget and ongoing tracking and forecasting.
· Manage the overall IT Plans and budget from planning and governance point of view.
· Facilitate development and sustaining of IT Capability Maturity Model.
IT PMO:
· Lead the oversight of IT projects’ execution, their progress compared with the plan and the Delivery of agreed outomes.
· Collaborate with Business PMO to ensure alignment on process and Project Lifecycle (PLC) methodology.
· Monitor and coordinate dependencies across the projects in the IT program and facilitate conflict resoluion.
· Ensure and balance the availability of the required skills and competencies across project teams within the program.
· Coordinate reviews with the executive sponsor and stakeholders to identify program needs & changes and direct the development of appropriate approaches to address.
· Facilitate the development and maintenance of stakeholder mapping, communications, and reporting.
· Develop and control the program budget and manage expenditure within agreed spending plans.
IT Vendor Management:
· Facilitate the establishment of a framework and guidelines for the use of contractors and professional service providers.
· Develop a coordinated strategy and plan to manage multiple vendors the IT function engages with on an ongoing basis.
· Collaborate with BXC Procurement team to ensure alignment.
· Develop and maintain a Vendor Score card and a list of strategic & tactical vendors.
IT Metrics:
· Develop and sustain IT Metrics to track, sustain & improve IT maturity
· Ensure specific metrics and measures are incorporated into solutions enabling continuous improvement.
Communications:
· Define and document standard process for IT and business communication.
· Ensure necessary awareness for the IT policies and procedures.
Certifications:
PMP. ITIL a plus
Educational Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree
Years of Experience:
10 years’ experience in IT governance, Program Management, or IT Consulting
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
· Excellent verbal, written and group presentation skills
· Experience with performance metrics and measures, customer assessment, cost/benefit analysis, benchmarking, and problem identification/resolution
· Experience preparing and managing budgets
· IT procurement and vendor negotiation experience
· Excellent Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint skills
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Pay: $55,673.00 - $140,000.00 per year
Schedule:
