We are currently recruiting a Telecom Lead / Supervisor – Layer 1 for one of our Telecom clients. This is a Full-time (Direct Hire) in person position at the client site in East Hartford, CT 06118.

In this role you’ll be the Point of Contact (POC) to make sure that approved vendors have site access to perform the work as well as track and manage the work progress and assist in cable plant design, routing /rerouting telecom inside plant and outside plant facilities.
The ideal candidates will have previous Telecom industry experience. Preferably from one or more of the following environments: Central Office - CO, Hubs, Headend or Network Cable infrastructure.
You should be comfortable with cable plant design, routing /rerouting telecom inside plant and outside plant facilities and BICSI Standards
A high understanding of the wired world (connectors, cables, fiber, copper, and GigaBit Interface Converter - gbics) - Layer 1 is desired.
You should be very organized and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and have solid MS Office skills - excel project tracking and reporting.
Must be a U.S. Citizen. This position may require access to systems/tools that are restricted to individuals who possess US citizenship.

Previous Project Lead / Supervisor – Layer 1 Design & Implementation in a Fiber / Cable infrastructure environment.
A solid understanding of physical network topography, with a minimum of 5 years’ experience working in physical Layer 1 telecommunications infrastructure and or network design. Strong computer, administrative and coordination skills and very proficient in Excel and vendor Management.
