What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Technician position at Tekgroup?
- Operates and maintains production equipment according to Client and customer specifications and tolerances.
Minimum Requirements to perform job:
- Machine orientation Basic safety orientation (MSDS) Lockout/Tagout Instructions on all necessary paperwork Orientation of plant layout 5 years journeyman experience.
- Self-motivated, leads by example, good attendance record Ability to assess repairs required and ability to teach others.
Principal Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoots and repairs equipment.
- Plans new or modified installations to minimize waste of materials, provide access for future maintenance and avoid unsightly and hazardous conditions consistent with MI0SHA Standards.
- Measures, cuts, bends, threads, assembles and installs components of machinery.
- Safe, clean, organized work environment maintained.
- Document all changes to PLC programs, robot programs and parameters sequence changes.
- Also back up PLC programs, robot programs and parameters.
- Moves around equipment, works in awkward areas, and is exposed to the noisy environment of a manufacturing stamping plant.
- Performs preventative maintenance on plant electrical equipment.
- Installs new equipment, runs conduit, buss duct, and other electrical devices.
- Performs housekeeping duties within assigned work area.
- Reports all equipment and malfunctions to the Supervisor.
- Personal effectiveness and positive attitudes developed.
- Carry out other tasks and activities as may be assigned by Supervisor or Management.
Education Requirements:
- Check the minimum level of formal education that is required to perform this job satisfactorily.
- High School Diploma or GED Vocational School or some college courses X
- Electrical / Mechanical related Journeyman Card or Successful Completion of Mechanical Aptitude Test List specific licenses required.
- Forklift License.
