Primary Duties And Responsibilities
Business Liaison
Works directly with business leaders to capture incoming demand and translates incoming demand into concrete IT deliverables and specific changes to the environment; works directly with Business Partners and IT Leadership in prioritizing competing requests.
Understands benefits of requested changes and translates into hard savings to create ROI discussion.
Documents all aspects of user, functional, and non-functional requirements.
Works directly with Business in understanding specific areas for testing and assist end users in understanding how to write user acceptance testing documentation.
Process Management
Able to lead, conduct and facilitate process workshops to understand both the As-Is and To-Be Process.
Able to anchor change through identifying specific activities the business needs to change to achieve the benefits of an individual request.
Works with Development and Architects to ensure To Be Process maximizes end user benefit and minimizes departmental specific applications that don't adhere to broader business utilization of functionality.
Works with other IT Business Analysts to develop, maintain, and adhere to common set of work practices focusing on maintaining an integrated operating environment
Completes other duties and special projects as assigned.
Education and Experience Profile
Bachelor's degree in Business or Information Technology; equivalent and applicable experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Business Analyst in an Information Technology Department is required.
Business Analyst Certification (CCBA/CBAP) and working knowledge of BABOK is preferred.
Experience with SAP ERP software, Service Now, and SharePoint is preferred.
Working knowledge of Six Sigma and Lean methodology is preferred.
Must have experience in gathering and documenting requirements for large, complex applications.
Background in Consumer Goods is preferred.
Required Skills
Proven negotiation skills to help translate To Be Process analysis into specific process changes that need to be implemented that maximize end user benefit while minimizing departmental specific changes.
Ability to work with all levels of internal and external stakeholders to understand and document incoming demand.
Able to work with Project Managers, Developers, and Business Leaders to ensure To Be Process changes align with original project scope.
Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Office Products such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint to document requirements and make presentations.
Excellent written and verbal communication required.
Able to form networks across the organization to understand how each parts of the organization uses existing tools to conduct business.
Superior customer service skills to work with all levels of the organization to prioritize incoming demand and effectively communicate escalation pathways when requests do not get approved.
Understanding of SAP ASAP methodology.
