What are the responsibilities and job description for the Network Administrator position at TEKsystems c/o Allegis Group?
Job Description
Day to day:
-Knowledge transfer with different team members, shadow the team, learn the infrastructure they have and understand the day to day tasks. They have an aggressive patching evaluation process.
-Once candidates are cleared, then it turns into self managed tasks around monitoring networks, troubleshooting networking and telecom issues, and additional project work.
1. Experience troubleshooting, administering, and supporting enterprise networks
a. Layer 1,2, & 3
b. WAN and MPLS
2. Experience with variety of Telecom and Network hardware
a. Fujitsu Flashwave (4100ES, 9500)
b. Ciena 6500, ethernet transport, MCP, One Control
c. Cisco ASR9K
3. Prior experience in a high-availability, critical up-time environment.
