Description:
Ritter Communications is seeking a NOC Engineer serves as a primary escalation point for NOC Technicians and NOC Specialists and is actively involved in the resolution and/or coordination of resources and personnel for all network events and outages. Takes part in the maintenance and management of the network infrastructure at Ritter Communications and plays a key role in designing and implementing network surveillance and management platforms. This position is also responsible for maintaining and updating documentation related to changes made to the network.
• Manages and maintains network systems including server applications, routers, switches, firewalls, storage devices, and other network equipment.
• Provides deep network analysis concerning usage trends, recurring events, as well as outage and incident patterns.
• Provides escalation for network-level troubleshooting activities as well as customer-level troubleshooting activities.
• Designs, implements and manages policy and procedure concerning network surveillance system interaction.
• Administration and management of network surveillance platforms.
• Performs operational acceptance of new network elements.
• Participates in a team environment, providing valuable input as well as serving as a leader to the team.
• Escalation support of voice network infrastructure, both TDM and IP.
• Interaction with upstream service providers such as internet and long-distance.
• Engages Network Engineers with requested service and network design changes.
• IP Address Management and Allocation.
• Serve as a primary point of contact for enterprise customers.

Provides escalation for network-level troubleshooting activities as well as customer-level troubleshooting activities;
Serves as point of escalation support for data, voice, and transport network infrastructure;
Interacts with Engineering, Field Operations, TAC, and on occasion end-customers.
