TEKsystems is hiring several REMOTE Hospital Billers for a large healthcare company based out of Charlotte, NC!

Job Title: Patient Account Coordinator
Hours: M-F 6a-6p EST *you'll be assigned an 8 hour shift between these hours, so please make sure you are able to work within these hours*, training hours include M-F 8a-5p EST

Job Title: Patient Account Coordinator

Must haves:
- 2 years of medical insurance follow up and denials experience
- Must have hospital billing experience, and experience working with CPT codes and knowledge of various payers
- Must sit out of North Carolina, South Carolina, or Georgia
Job description:
- Work through the large volume of variances broken into 3 categories (registration issues, qualified work queue, and contract load issues), and complete claim and documents billing activity
- Review trends specific to denials, root cause, and A/R impact, and review insurance credit balances to determine cause, and take necessary action to resolve account
- Contact payer on account status, and process and research electronic remittances and bank deposits, and work with Specialty Payers and other facilities to ensure compliance and payment
- Transfer charges between Patient and Facility accounts as required, and escalate problem accounts as needed and lead appeal process
- Receive, review, and take actions for all communications within the business office
