Software Engineer

Description:
This candidate will be instrumental in the helping colleagues and business partners within the GDIA by optimizing their work efforts and reduce redundancies surrounding their business operations. Candidates that have a strong experience in front end and Angular development work, experience supporting web applications on the cloud, preferably Google Cloud Platform, and experience doing front end development for Data Visualization initiatives (building out enterprise tooling) will align tremendously with the desired skills for the opening. The day to day for this individual will include Angular development work, building out web applications, working with microservice architecture, RestAPI and supporting Google Cloud Platform as it works with the web applications. The candidate will also require very strong attention to detail, initiative and communications skills as they will be tasked with meeting with stakeholders, business teams, and product teams to assist with design and support of the various products in their environment including, Angular, Qliksense, Google Looker etc.
This person will be expected to provide consultative services to the Product Development Teams and Business Owners.
Key responsibilities include:
5 years of full stack software engineering experience (web applications, microservices architecture, REST/GraphQL, etc.)
2 years of experience and proficiency with modern web development languages and frameworks, such as:
Modern HTML and CSS (SASS, SCSS, etc.)
Typescript/JavaScript
Development framework (Angular, React based frameworks, etc.)
2 years of experience with frontend tooling such as Node/npm, yarn or equivalent
2 years of experience with test driven development (TDD) using frontend testing frameworks such as Playwright, Puppeteer, Cypress or equivalent.
2 years working with cloud technologies (Azure, PCF, AWS, Google Cloud Platform)
5 years of experience and proficiency with git and GitHub (or related such as GitLab or BitBucket)
Experience and proficiency with semantic coding and Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.0 AA).
2 years of experience with Automated Testing, Continuous Integration, Continuous Deployment (CI/CD)
2 years of experience in Agile practices (SAFE, Scrum, Kanban, etc.)
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, or related field, or a combination of education and equivalent experience
