Description:
This person will be responsible for creating, reviewing, and processing telecommunication work requests from agencies utilizing the Kansas Information Resource Management System (KIRMs) / ServiceNow. This includes ensuring accurate orders are submitted, coordination with vendors and OITS technicians for work requested, follow-up of work requested, and providing necessary training to users. This individual must know how to program features, create dial tone, and other functions needed to correct problems or establish new service. Test new features with telephone companies that will be available or offered to the client. This person will also be training the Network Control Center on new features or changes made to the CISCO phone system. Provision, move, add, and change work orders in the data network.
Data to include keeping current knowledge on the following data services:
- AVPN, dedicated circuits, switches, hubs, ATM, and any other networking services utilizing wide area/local area networking services.
Responsibilities:
- Activate/deactivate data switch ports on CISCO switches and change VLANs as needed.
- Analyze sites' bandwidth usage using OITS tools.
- Input and maintain accurate cable records in CICS and verify billing accuracy.
- Program features and troubleshoot issues in the client VoIP phone system.
- Collaborate with Network Control Center and vendors to troubleshoot voice network outages.
- Coordinate, design, and implement new Automated Call Distribution (ACD), Universal Call Distribution (UCD), and Interactive Voice Response (IVR) applications.
- Program and maintain voice mailboxes and Single Digit Menus (IVR Application).
- Provide technical services, consultation, training, and information to agencies on voice and data networking.
- Support state agencies in designing and implementing new technologies.
