Our client is looking for a wireless engineer on a 4 month contract. This individual will be a dedicated engineer for their project to upgrade medical infusion pumps at the Hospital, from a wireless perspective. The manufacturer is responsible for installing and configuring the infusion pumps, and the Wireless Engineer would be responsible for wireless surveys to check connectivity (using Ekahau Sidekick), and troubleshooting any issues with the devices connecting to the Cisco wifi infrastructure when medical devices are being installed. They would also work on additional wifi requests and/or tickets related to the daily support of the wireless infrastructure. Our client uses Cisco 2800 and 3502i AP's, Cisco Wism2 and 8540 controllers and are also in process of migrating to Cisco Cat 9K series APs and WLCs. Candidates should have strong wireless troubleshooting skills.

Looking for candidates who are very detailed oriented, organized and don't need a lot of hand-holding. This person will be coordinating with the PM, various 3rd-party vendors, internal infrastructure, and hospital staff, so they have to have strong communication and follow-up skills. They also should have experience with documentation and Excel for tracking data.
This is currently a 4-person wireless engineering team that they'll be joining.
Candidate will be onsite 5x per week. They'll sit out of the Main hospital location at 98th and Madison Ave unless they are doing site visits in Queens when installs are happening.
Candidates MUST be fully vaccinated.
