Hiring for a *Charge Entry Specialist* in Fresno, CA!
Pay: $20-$24/HR
M-F 8am-5pm
Will become Hybrid after 4 months
*Description:*
- Review and analyze medical records to assign appropriate codes using ICD-10, ICD-9, and other coding systems
- Verify patient insurance coverage and process claims for reimbursement
- Ensure compliance with billing regulations and guidelines
- Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies or denials
- Collaborate with medical staff to obtain missing documentation or clarification on coding issues
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient billing records
- Monitor accounts receivable and follow up on outstanding payments
- Prepare financial reports related to billing activities
*Skills:*
Medical billing, Coding, Icd-10, EOB, insurance claim, insurance billing, medical coding, modifiers, diagnosis coding
*Additional Skills & Qualifications:*
Education/Skills:
*High school diploma or GED minimally required. Two (2) years directly related and progressively responsible experience and/or college degree.
*40 WPM
*Fundamental understanding of key payers including Medicaid, Medicare and private payer
