What are the responsibilities and job description for the Claim position at TEKsystems?
Summary : To perform various administrative and technical tasks that will assist the claims department in handling claims.
The successful candidate will enjoy problem-solving, prioritizing, assisting others to manage required workflow. Attention to detail and able to work as a team.
Key Accountabilities :
- Review email and attachments received in the Notice of Loss mailbox to determine insured name, policy number and policy type and handle as required (request additional information, forward to Claims for review or forward for claim setup).
- Accurately set up claim files, including assigning the claim to a claims analyst, attaching policy documents from the underwriting system, and issuing acknowledgement letters.
- Prompt and effective response to department assignments including producing electronic claim files, correcting, and updating information in the claim file, and assistance with various other projects and administrative tasks.
- Ability to provide back-up to other Claim Assistants as required including all claim file setups, creation of loss runs for internal or external distribution, mail distribution, etc.
- Enter payments in the system accurately and timely. If received prior to 4 pm, payment should be entered that day.
- Enter payment corrections and recoveries in claims systems accurately and timely.
Qualifications :
- 2-year college degree or 1-3 years insurance work experience.
- Prior claims experience preferred.
- Strong computer skills, especially in windows-based applications.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Organized and detail oriented.
Details :
- Hybrid schedule after training(90 days) Hybrid schedule - 2 days in office, 3 days remote
- Monday Friday First shift (40 hours per week)
- Pay : $45,000 - $50,000 / yr. based on related experience or education.
