What are the responsibilities and job description for the Helper - Now Hiring position at TEKsystems?
These are entry level roles for guys looking to gain skills in and experience in a growing trade.
TEKsystems is upgrading infrastructure in the classrooms in 1 year- 24 schools- so 2 schools per month. They are going from cat 5e or 6 to 6a and are in need of a helper. We have placed3 techs on this project- all of whom have gone perm. Shortly after going perm 1 of them left so they are looking to backfill him. The helper will learn how to pull & terminate cable and must be able to perform miscellaneous tasks as needed onsite. A3 is huge on the soft skills- great work ethic, willing to learn, punctual, does things without being told, presents themselves well, etc... It is 2nd shift (after school hours) from 3:30-11:30 5 days per week. Pullers will need the basic tools but A3 will provide the specialized tools and PPE. The team will work in the same school for a week or two at a time before moving to another school.
Employee Value:
This is a Contract to Hire arrangement. There is upward growth trajectory once going perm at A3- either as a Field Supervisor, Junior Project Manager and eventually to Project Manager.
