We are looking for a hardworking and enthusiastic Quality Manager to join our Plant Quality team and help us drive Operational Excellence throughout our facility.
POSITION SUMMARY:
Oversee and manage the implementation of plant quality compliance outcomes, processes, programs and initiatives, including leading the plant quality team. Manage and continuously improve key Corporate and Plant/Site Quality Management System (QMS) processes. Provide Quality Control, Metrology, Quality Engineering and Validation support to Operations, Engineering and Quality Team. Execute Audit and Compliance Program. Foster and promote a culture of Food Safety, Quality Awareness and Employee Engagement in the QMS. Lead, motivate, mentor and manage activities of plant quality team.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES include and are not limited to the following:
· Role Models adherence to all Safety, Food Safety & Quality standards; Completes training as required; Fosters a work environment where direct reports, work teams and project teams adhere to all Safety & Quality standards including training. Monitors training completions on a regular basis to ensure workforce is properly trained.
· As a SQF Practitioner and HACCP team member, contributes to ongoing identification of hazards due to any change or New Product Introduction and support the HACCP team in implementation of the proposed Risk Mitigation plan.
Drive Plant Performance in Food Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost and Customer Service
· Partner with Plant Management Team and other key stakeholders to improve quality, delivery, cost and consumer service metrics for the plant.
· Lead and manage Quality Function at the site.
· Build, lead and manage a high performing team of subject matter experts and supporting resources to deliver functional and business objectives.
Manage and improve Key Corporate and Site FSMS and QMS Processes
· Coordinate with Corporate Quality and Plant Management to manage and improve quality procedures/processes for better “operational quality” across the plant.
Provide Quality Control, Metrology, Quality Engineering and Validation support to Operations, Engineering and Quality Teams
· Support day to day operation projects, troubleshooting and continuous improvement
· Stand-up, operate and maintain necessary Quality Control and metrology labs.
· Develop and conduct DOE’s, statistical analysis, capability studies etc. for qualifications, troubleshooting or process improvements.
· Develop and execute on qualifications protocols
Execute Audit and Compliance Program
· Collaborate with Corporate Quality to develop an Audit & Compliance Program.
· Own ongoing execution of the Audit & Compliance program to improve compliance with the procedures and standards, successful completion of the audits and ensure audit readiness at all times
Promote a culture of Food Safety and Quality Awareness and Employee Engagement in the QMS
· Train, coach, motivate and develop plant teams in the areas of Quality Improvement, Quality Policy, Measurement and Analysis, Quality Metrics, Customer Satisfaction (NPS) and Quality Systems/ISO requirements.
· Develop Quality department performance goals and objectives.
· Develop communication and training plans for Quality Awareness and Engagement.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s degree from four-year College or University in Business, Science, Engineering, or a related field; 5 years of hands-on Quality Operations or Quality Management Systems (QMS) implementation experience, and 2 years experience in a leadership position for a quality team.
· Thorough Knowledge of Regulated Industry, CFR Part 820 Quality System Requirements, the ISO family of standards, particularly ISO 13485 and ISO 9001 and GFSI Approved Food Safety Standards
· Experience in plastics processing technologies serving the packaging, pharma and medical device markets.
· Experience with training, validation processes and Statistical Process Control (SPC).
- Excellent data entry skills, using Microsoft word, Excel, IQMS or similar CMMS asset management system.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents such as quality regulations, policies, processes, standard operating procedures, work instructions and training. Ability to write quality reports, status updates, project plans and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees.
COMMUNICATION AND LEADERSHIP SKILLS
Excellent organizational skills with demonstrated attention to detail. Strong mentoring and coaching skills. Self-motivated, excellent leadership qualities with ability to manage various technical resources. Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with demonstrated ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks and demands. Ability to effectively collaborate and interact with individuals at all levels of the organization, including communication of complex projects in straightforward terms.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical quality or production/work situations. Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference to make decisions, determine necessary course of action and provide guidance to others to achieve necessary quality results.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to resolve day-to-day quality-related production challenges or problems that contribute to production results, with limited additional leadership involvement. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in a range of quality-related production situations. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Quality Management or Quality System Auditing, i.e., ASQ CQM/OE or CQA
