SCCM Administrator

Position: Senior System Analyst – Software Removal and Install.

Location: Carlsbad, CA (100% Remote)

Duration: Long Term Contract.

Job Description:

We are looking for an enthusiastic member to join our end point engineering team to support a software install/replacement effort leveraging multiple versions of Windows 10,11, and MacOS.

In this role, you will have the chance to work with a variety of global stakeholders, as you support the roll out, custom scripting, and centralized management of our global endpoint fleet.

You will leverage our native SCCM, Intune, and JAMF JSS products, as well as build custom scripts, GPOS, to systematically update and replace specific software packages against the entire client fleet of systems.

Responsibilities

• Partner with cross-functional teams to design and deliver solutions consistent with industry best practices

• Investigate issues reported by users, and work with internal groups and/or vendor support to troubleshoot and drive to resolution

• Take escalated tickets and calls from Level 2 IT global support agents

• Work with the Level 1 and Level 2 support teams to help improve run books, Knowledge Transfer to Level 1/2 and improve processes related to the activities you are responsible for.

• Participate in system maintenance activities with systems engineers i.e., upgrades, testing

• Evaluate, test, and implementation of proposed software changes.

• Partner closely with the product team to develop strategies and scripts to effectively replace software on our fleet, as well as clean up ancilary artifcats left behind previous applciations.

• Maintain a schedule and inventory of status and progress of the software rollout and removal that can be reported on regularly.

• Ensure system availability, monitor health, addressing vulnerabilities are top priority

• Be available off hours for emergencies and scheduled system maintenance

• May need to oversee projects from requirements to execution

Qualifications:

Required

• 5 years of end point design and management leveraging SCCM, Intune, OneDrive, and/or JAMF JSS.

• Experience with Intune configuration, policies, AD GPOs, and MDM practices

• Experience packaging and deploying applications, preferably through self service solutions

• Support design, test, and automation of Windows endpoints both physical and virtual across a global enterprise

• Ability to use APIs and scripting languages such as PowerShell and command line interfaces to streamline and automate configuration changes

• Experience with writing clear customer documentation for user training and technical bulletins

• Ability to take a data-driven approach to analyzing issues, interpreting dashboards, system logs

• Fundamental knowledge of systems security and access administration

• Exceptional written and verbal skills must be capable of effectively capturing and transferring technical and functional information i.e., how-to's, present ideas

• Experience with troubleshooting and solving challenging client problems relating to Microsoft Services.

• Ability to troubleshoot a combination of Client and/or SaaS software solutions for users including Authentication and identity issues

• Ability to navigate ambiguity, resolve user issues, and work autonomously to solve problems

Preferred

• Direct experience migrating and automating end points for software removal, cleanup, and install of replacement packages.

• Experience with various Laptop and PC hardware manufacturers including Dell, HP, & Apple

• Relevant coursework and/or certifications in tool or automation technologies

• Building automated dashboards/Analytics in PowerBI

Salary : $99,500 - $126,000
