Job Description
- The Client Homepage team is looking for a Software Development Engineer to remediate accessibility compliance issues.
- Your solutions will affect our customers directly!
- Shopping org focusing on shopping experiences mainly on the homepage.
- Support accessibility requirements on page
- Primary responsibilities include analysis of existing accessibility tickets, identify solutions which will apply to the future versions of Homepage, identify a gap in mechanisms for web accessibility compliance and identify solutions/mechanisms to enforce compliance.
- Responsibility also includes creating a remediation plan to resolve accessibility tickets and providing a status report at a fixed cadence on the progress of the plan to the leadership.
- The ideal candidate is someone who wants to pursue a career in software development, eager to enhance their coding skills and gain experience with diverse software applications.
- Be a key part of making the shopping experience accessible for all customers.
- The qualifications for this role involve attention to detail, strong communication skills, organizational abilities, independent work capabilities, and maintaining professionalism under pressure.
- Preferred coding skills: Java, typescript, html, .css, JavaScript, and W3C accessibility compliance experience.
- A Computer Science or equivalent technical degree and 2-5 years of relevant experience is required.
