Job Description Description: This role involves efficiently managing stock levels, maintaining workspace organization, and ensuring precise adherence to processing standards. Responsibilities include meticulous part processing, quality inspections, and problem-solving to enhance operational performance in a dynamic environment. Skills in handling fixtures, geometric calculations, and interpreting engineering drawings are crucial for success. Primary Responsibilities Consistently reorder consumable materials and chemicals from the main stock area to maintain desired stock levels in the work area Keep individual workstations and common areas in the department clean and organized on an ongoing basis Consistently confirm parts and documentation match before beginning any processing in the area; escalate when they do not Consistently process parts in accordance with all related standards and requirements at a pace that is consistent with best practice, including testing plating bath chemical composition and applying corrective measures to return to desired operating conditions, PPE requirements, chemical or product handling and disposal, etc Inspect parts in accordance with defined standards, document the results, and sort, repackage, and transfer conforming parts to stock in a timely fashion Act in ways that improve the performance of the area in terms of cycle time, throughput, and quality. Promptly raise problems to leadership, with special attention to repeat or chronic issues, bringing recommendations Other requirements: Physically be able to suspend fixture and parts (15 lbs) over plating bath for needed duration without using a stepstool or platform General understating of how to calculate surface area of a geometric shape; program exists to calculate surface area, but a general understanding of geometry is required. Ability to interpret engineering drawings to: Guide material preparation for plating operations (where and which surfaces to plate). Determine which areas must be masked or prepped prior to plating Ability to read engineering drawings, ability to make highly precise measurements to arrive at plating thicknesses.
