Position Overview The responsibility of the Product Marketing Communications Specialist supports the Sales, Business Development, and Product Development teams by leading the coordination, planning, execution, and implementation of Teledyne Marine marketing activities for multiple product lines within Teledyne Marine. Typical Marketing activities includes, but not limited to, Social Media Strategy, Marketing Communications (MARCOM), Events & Trade Shows, Content Strategy and Creation, website governance, and managing a network of Contractor(s). Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Marketing Communications and Brand Steward Plan and manage the weekly tasks and to assure accurate and competent delivery of projects to evolve the Teledyne Marine message. Maintain the management of the Teledyne Marine website network for content and format with compliance to Teledyne goals. Update & monitor all website content and activities, update Content Management System (CMS), and all website Elements including relevant measurement Metrics for ROI and Marketing analysis. Create, Implement & measure the success of marketing communications programs designed to promote the Teledyne Marine organization’s image and position within the marketplace and the public; organize and execute internal and external communications, and all the organization’s marketing, communications activities. Execute the effective articulation of the Teledyne Marine Organization’s desired image and value proposition; assure consistent communication of message and position to all constituencies and stakeholders, both internal and external. Provide editorial direction, design, production, and distribution of all Teledyne Marine organization publications maintaining production schedules. Coordinate media interest in Teledyne Marine and help to stimulate regular contact with target media and appropriate response to media requests. Coordinates, executes & controls the presentation & appearance of all the Teledyne Marine organization print and electronic materials such as letterhead, use of logo, newsletters, brochures, etc., with the global Teledyne Marine Marketing Communications (MARCOM) team. Support worldwide General Managers, Business Development, Engineering, New Product Development and industry partners including Representative, agents & consultants by coordinating and supporting MARCOM programs, materials, and marketing assistance and resources. Plan, organize, execute Marketing team trade shows/conferences efforts to the specified budget for the Teledyne Marine organization and Product Lines. Assist with and implement all show related materials and activities to ensure a return on the investment and drive consistency in presentation through measurement analysis. Planning and Budgeting: Actively coordinate the planning and execution of marketing/communications mission, goals, and financial objectives. Assist with the design and execution of evaluation systems wherever possible. Develop short- and long-term plans and measurements for managing budgets for the Marketing/communications/ program and its activities, monitor progress, assure adherence, and evaluate performance. Recommend short- and long-term organization and Product Line Company goals and objectives to the Global Marketing, Global Business Development, and Global Sales leadership teams. Keep informed of developments and advancements in the fields of marketing, communications, and social media and apply them within the organization as appropriate. Organizational strategy: Assist Marketing VP in efforts with senior management, Business Development Team and sales representatives to develop and maintain a strategic perspective -- based on marketplace and constituent needs and satisfaction -- in organizational direction, products offerings, programs, services, and decision-making. Design methods to collect, analyze and disseminate regular input from the Teledyne Marine’s key customers and partners regarding the quality, features and benefits of products and services and Teledyne Marine’s position within the industry. Utilize the data to evaluate and redefine the messages to the market as needed. Lead the MARCOM support of cross-functional teams throughout the Teledyne Marine organization. Education and Experience: Bachelor’s Degree in journalism, marketing. Graduate degree in a related field is desirable Minimum of 3 years’ experience in Marketing, Communications, Social Media Strategy, or Public Relations with demonstrated success in the oceanographic/offshore industry an added benefit MBA with Marketing Focus preferred. Demonstrable Management experience Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Working knowledge of Microsoft 365 programs (Word, Project, Outlook, Excel, etc). Excellent organizational skills Excellent verbal & written communication skills Is a self-starter who works well without direct or close supervision and can create an environment infused with energy and enthusiasm Experience in the coordination, design and production of print materials and publications Demonstrated skills, knowledge and experience in the design and execution of marketing activities A track record of marketing and effectively managing the introduction of new products and services Demonstrated successful experience writing press releases, editorial skills, making presentations Ability to lead a creative team and manage team tasks and schedules Ability to manage multiple projects at a time Commitment to working with cross-functional teams Knowledge of business processes, systems, and their functionality is desirable (i.e. ERP’s, CRM’s, Databases, etc.) Out-of-town, overnight travel may be required Due to the type of work at the facility and certain access restrictions, successful applicants must be a "US Person" (US Citizens, US Nationals, lawful permanent residents, asylees or refugees). ************************ What can Teledyne offer YOU?
