SUMMARY: Repairs and reworks electronic assemblies, harnesses, and chassis, which involves troubleshooting equipment to determine the cause of operational failure and replacing or repairing malfunctioning components; and testing the equipment to documented performance standards.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Repairs and reworks electronic assemblies, harnesses, and chassis.
- Troubleshoots equipment by subjecting it to a variety of simple diagnostic tests to determine the cause of operational failure.
- Reconstructs or replaces defective parts as required.
- Reviews all engineering change notices related to the design and operation of the equipment.
- Applies new paint or other coatings to equipment components.
- Tests the equipment to documented performance standards.
- Maintains records of repairs, calibrations, and tests on a computer database system.
- Performs other duties as directed
Required Skills
Required Experience
EDUCATION: Technical school graduate or equivalent experience.
EXPERIENCE: 2 years related experience as a repair technician
OTHER: Skilled in the use of hand tools.
