Telesign is looking for a Release/DevOps Intern who is eager to gain hands-on experience on DevOps tools and best practices.
This role reports to the Engineering Manager. We will be welcoming interns during the Summer 2023 term (June to August). Interns will be expected to work up to 40 hours per week during the 12 week period.
Key Responsibilities:
- Participate in the release process: preparation, documentation, and execution under direct supervision
- Maintain and enhance existing automation code with a focus on implementation
- Collaborate with and assist other team members in the development documentation
- Follow the software lifecycle process when developing software
- Work within an agile team
- Maintain, and streamline automated build and deploy pipelines from code compilation, automated testing, to deploying releases to multiple environments.
- Work on development and improvement of TeleSign infrastructure.
- Develop tools needed for automating the CI/CD processes.
Essential Qualifications:
- Understanding of development best practices and standards (design patterns, coding standards, etc.)
- Knowledge of Linux and Bash scripting
- Knowledge of at least one programming language (Python, Java, C …)
- Basic understanding of networking
- Has the capability of learning and applying new technologies to build delivery automation pipelines
- Self-learner with good problem solving and analytical skills
- Good interpersonal, communications, and organizational skills
