What are the responsibilities and job description for the Admission seasonal reader position at Telluride Association?
Role Overview The Seasonal Admissions Reader is responsible for completing first-round application reads for the Telluride Association Summer Seminar (TASS) in accordance with the reading instructions established by the Board.
Readers will conduct a comprehensive evaluation of an average of 4-6 applications per hour. To ensure that selection deadlines are met, seasonal readers must be able to read quickly, carefully, and objectively while providing thorough notes.
Work Schedule : Readers are expected to commit to between 10-30 hours per week during the reading period. There may be an occasional opportunity to work additional hours.
Position Duration : Training to be scheduled in November 2024. Application reading period from December 5, 2024 - February 15, 2025 Direct Supervisor : Executive Director Type : Temporary Non-Exempt Qualifications Required Qualifications Experience in admissions reading and / orand evaluating applications from high school students.
Well-developed computer skills and the ability to quickly adapt to new technology. Strong ability to manage time independently and meet deadlines.
Strong attention to detail and ability to apply Telluride’s priorities in accordance with training. Ability to be receptive to guidance and feedback from Telluride and quickly adapt to suggested modifications.
Ability to maintain the strictest levels of discretion and confidentiality. Ability to meet acceptable background check standards.
Ability to work flexible hours which may include evenings and / or weekends, as appropriate. We cannot consider candidates who are the immediate relatives (parents / guardians, spouse, child) of anyone applying to TASS.

Experience with communities of color and communities that Telluride Association serves. Responsibilities Application Reading - 100% Complete application reading training no later than November2024.
During application reading period (December 5, 2024 - February 15, 2025) : Meet weekly with the application reading team.
Read first-round TASS applications and complete reader evaluation sheets as assigned. Provide feedback on the application reading process.
