This position will be located at Hill AFB, Utah.
Responsibilities:
The Planner is responsible for
IT Planning. Share responsibility for plans and programs with government employees.
Support IT Enterprise architecture planning, engineering, project management and configuration management to include requirement for maintaining efficient use of network devices, such as switches, routers, and TACLANES for the Air Force/DoD customers
- Document the approved requirements process in the CONOPs and provide education and training on the requirements process to Air Force/DoD customers
- Evaluate existing projects/requirements and make recommendations to government
counterparts as to which should be continued
- Upon government approval and provision of funding, continue processing and implementation of existing projects/requirements
- Share responsibility in developing and maintaining Memorandum of Agreements (MOAs),
Standard Operating Agreements (SOAs), and other agreements with government employees
Project Management/Requirements Processing. Provide project managers for communications requirements, plans, and implementations.
- Process and track customer requirements, engineer solutions and manage project
implementation in accordance with (IAW) Technical Order (TO) 00-33A-1001-WA-1 Methods and Procedures - General Cyberspace Support Activities Management Procedures and Practice Requirements and TO 00-33D-3005-WA-1 Methods and Procedures - Managing; The Cyberspace Infrastructure with the Cyberspace Infrastructure Planning System (CIPS).
- Develop/Manage Enterprise Master Integrated Schedule, tracking milestones, major projects, completion dates (i.e., Microsoft Project Management type program (Gantt charts))
- Support contracts and provide logistics management capability for unit systems (material control, project logistics)
- Produce Implementation Plan for approved projects and programs
- Implement Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) Process to support organizational increase on high reliable IT services. This effort can provide reduced costs, improved IT services through the use of proven best practice processes, and improved customer satisfaction through a more professional approach to service delivery. The contractor shall:
- Minimize energy consumption to meet percentage reduction requirements set
forth in Executive Orders (EO) 13423 and 13514

- Follow applicable environmental energy efficiency guidelines when purchasing new hardware or electronic equipment
- Follow applicable environmental guidelines when disposing of hardware or electronic equipment
- Coordinate initial design plans with civil engineers to ensure compliance with environmental and energy guidelines
New Technologies. Throughout the life of this agreement, the contractor shall incorporate innovative and emerging technologies that, in the most economic and efficient manner, improve not only IT system performance and support but mission performance.
- Implement the approved plans and add metrics for technology insertion
- Address the following items identified in (Table 1) prior to development and coordination of detailed proposals for implementation of new technologies to Air Force/DoD customers required for appropriate approval and funding authorities
- Minimize energy consumption to meet percentage reduction requirements set forth in Executive Orders 13423 and 13514
- Follow applicable environmental energy efficiency guidelines when purchasing new hardware or electronic equipment
- Follow applicable environmental guidelines when disposing of hardware or electronic equipment
- Coordinate initial design plans with civil engineers to ensure compliance with environmental
and energy guidelines
- Coordinate with Developers, Other SharePoint Administrators Database Administrators and others to design, develop, test, implement, and enhance out of the box SharePoint capabilities
- Evaluate existing SharePoint content and maintain SharePoint (e.g processing and tracking customer requirements)
IT Asset Management (ITAM) Property Custodian (PC).
- Oversee accountability of IT hardware and software assets throughout its life cycle from purchase to disposition IAW AF Manual (AFMAN) 17-1203 Information Technology Asset Management
- Follow applicable environmental guidelines when disposing of hardware or electronic equipment
Requirements
- Possess an active DoD Secret security clearance
- The successful candidate must meet eligibility requirements to access sensitive information, which requires US citizenship.
- Associate's Degree (preferred) in a related field or the equivalent combination of related education, professional training or work experience (8 years).
- 4 years of experience (minimum) in project planning (preferably in Air Force environment).
- Experience with IT concepts, practices and procedures and industry standards
- Proficient in Microsoft (MS) Office tools, including MS Project
- Experience in IT Project Management
- Experience in SharePoint design and program implementation
- Be well organized, detail oriented, and have the ability to multitask and communicate clearly with team members and customers
- Respond quickly to rapid changes in customer requirements and accepts new challenges
- Familiarity with DoD or Air Force environment desired.
