Telos Corporation (Telos) is seeking a passionate and talented Technical Writer to join our expanding Growth Team. We are seeking someone who is a natural leader that understands federal government proposal structure. The person we seek will have high-organizational skills, be strategic and analytical in proposal content development, manage proposal contributors in order to maintain high-quality proposal content, and a person who thrives in a fast-paced environment.

The Technical Writer will drive the creation of proposal content, collaborating with the all proposal contributors. This opportunity is primarily remote.
Responsibilities:
- Create compliant and compelling proposal content by thoroughly analyzing the solicitation requirements
- Lead technical volumes but may also work on management volumes
- Use critical thinking skills to iteratively develop content and graphics using best practices such as storyboarding
- Deliver required artifacts according to the schedule
- Develop RFP and Task Order responses based on Statement of Work (SOW) or Performance Work Statement (PWS) requirements
- Collaborate with other proposal team members to integrate win themes, discriminators, and strengths into assigned written sections
- Serve as a section or volume lead, management solution architect, and/or an expert color team reviewer
- Interact with program / project technical personnel to obtain technical content and feedback necessary for a response and develop written content based on technical content provided
- Write proposal narratives that are responsive to requirements and highlight the strengths or benefits of our solution
- Work with graphic designer to develop or refine graphics
- May be required to work evenings and weekends
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Journalism, English or comparable area, and 5-7 years of related technical and proposal writing/editing experience
- The candidate must be highly organized and have outstanding writing and editing skills and experience, specifically focused on Government proposals
- The candidate must have the ability to work to and meet deadlines, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to communicate to all levels of the organization and work as part of a team
- The candidate must have the ability to work collaboratively with technical staff to produce quality documents for delivery to a variety of clients
- Characteristics necessary for success include: analytical, presentation, reasoning and problem-solving skills; the ability to operate independently with minimal supervision or feedback; and the ability to establish a solid working relationship with supported staff, managers and peers
- Candidate must have demonstrated proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Must be eligible to obtain a clearance as many solicitation will be SECRET and TOP SECRET
- Must be able to be in a stationary position more than 50% of the time
- Must be able to communicate, converse, and exchange information with peers and senior personnel
- Ability to mentor
