What are the responsibilities and job description for the Quality Inspector position at Temp Unlimited?
Quality Inspector responsible for the compliance of products, tooling, and processes with specified standards through meticulous inspections
Responsibilities:
- Conducts receiving, first article, in-process, and final inspections on components and assemblies throughout the manufacturing cycle, employing established sampling procedures like MIL-STD-105 or ANSI/ANSQ Z1.4.
- Sets up inspection equipment and dimensional layouts for components to collect data for inspections.
- Records inspection data and completes assembly documentation and non-conformance reports.
- Assists in the Receiving Inspection Area as needed.
- Follows inspection procedures, control plans, Manufacturing Procedures (MP), Acceptance Test Procedure (ATP), and all Non-Standard Working Instructions (NSWI).
- Proficient in using various testing equipment such as tension testers, high-potential voltage tester, weigh scales, microscopes, insulation resistance and bridge wire resistance testers, electro-static discharge tester, micrometers, indicators, comparators, and calipers.
- Maintains quarantine of materials subject to Material Review Board (MRB) disposition.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 5 yrs experience in an electronic/manufacturing quality inspection position is a must
- Ability to interpret component and assembly drawings, procedures, and travelers.
- Strong mathematical skills and basic trigonometry.
- Full knowledge and use of micrometers, dial bores, calipers, height gages, comparators, and indicators. Ability to measure using standard measuring instruments.
