Communications Assistant - Year round, Full time position. Temple Emanu-El, a busy synagogue in Providence, RI, is seeking an innovative, detail oriented Communications Assistant 34-38 hours per week. There are three essential job functions: Communications/Publicity, Graphic Design & Administration.

Communications/Publicity:

Prepare weekly email bulletins, maintain online calendar of events, create online forms, maintain and update synagogue website www.teprov.org, post on various social media platforms

Graphic Design:

Create & edit squares/banners, videos, flyers, brochures, magazines

Administrative Functions:

Front office, answer phones, direct inquiries correctly, research & order supplies and other clerical functions.

Required Skills: Note - skills test should be submitted with application

Highly proficient using Google Suite, MS Office, Canva, Adobe applications

Computer applications (desktop publishing, constant contact, CRM platforms)

Excellent oral and written communications skills, adaptable, friendly, tolerant

Knowledge of Jewish ritual and tradition is a plus, but not required

Salary and Benefits: $21 - $24 per hour, commensurate with experience

Benefits of FT status: Vacation, sick and personal time; option to participate in the synagogue’s medical, dental and 403(B) plans

Pay: $21.00 - $24.00 per hour to start

Schedule: Monday we are closed

Tuesday to Thursday 8am – 5pm

Friday 8am – 4pm

Some weekend availability
