Camp Clinic Aide
Location: Temple Rodef Shalom
Reports to: Camp Director
Dates: June 20, 2022-July 29, 2022, Monday through Friday, 8:00 am – 4:30 pm
Background:
Camp Rodef Shalom is a 6-week Jewish day camp in the heart of Falls Church, Virginia with over 40 years of history. With campers ranging in age from 4 to 13 years old, we offer a wide variety of activities and trips throughout the summer. Camp Rodef Shalom values inclusion and supports both campers and staff. Camp Rodef Shalom is seeking a camper clinic aide for our summer season in person camp from June 20-July 29.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Care for hurt or sick campers, counselors, and staff
- Communicate with parents regarding the health wellbeing and status of their child
- Manage health forms and paperwork
- Be a member of the camp team at large
Qualification:
- Licensed Nurse or EMT in the State of Virginia required
- College Degree Required, BSN preferred
- Pediatric or camp experience, a plus
- Friendly, happy, with a good sense of humor (laughter can be the best medicine)!
- Must be Hard-working, enthusiastic, and committed to the safety and well-being of campers
- Experience with and the ability to originate, update, and/or monitor healthcare, maintain records, implement a health plan
- Must have the ability to make decisions and take initiative
- Must have strong oral and communication skills, High-level organizational skills and the ability to communicate efficiently with campers, staff and parents, as well as maintain proper documentation
- Must be flexible and a team-player willing to address problems as they arise
