Job Description:
Immediate opening for a Shop Carpenter to work for a well-established facility in Limestone. Great entry-level opportunity for an individual with basic carpentry skills and strong attention to detail. Full-Time/Days; 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM; $16.50-$18.00/hr. Health insurance, PTO, and retirement plan available.
The Shop Carpenter will be responsible for crafting materials and parts to be used in custom interior installations. Employee will be expected to meet required production standards and guidelines, ensuring that all assembled parts are properly fitted and functioning. Ideal candidate will have working knowledge of how to properly use common hand and power tools, strong attention to detail, as well as the ability to meet all required production, quality, and safety standards.

Responsibilities:
- Read and understand product schematics and assembly instructions.
- Ensure that all the required parts and tools for assembly are present and functioning properly.
- Verify dimensions and product specifications.
- Mark cutting lines and use proper tools to shape and/or resize materials to required specifications.
- Ensure that all parts are fitted, aligned, and fastened properly.
- Sand, paint and/or stain product surfaces.
- Meet quality control standards by testing products for functionality and inspecting for damage and/or defects.
- Work efficiently to keep production on schedule and fulfill orders with minimal waste.
- Load and secure finished products for storage or transportation.
- Report product and/or equipment malfunctions to management.
- Maintain a clean and orderly job site by properly storing equipment and materials, as well as cleaning up leftover waste and debris.
- Adhere to all required safety standards.
Job Requirements:
- At least 1-2 years of experience using hand and/or power tools in a professional setting.
- Previous experience in fabrication, assembly, and/or carpentry strongly preferred.
- Ability to read and understand blueprints.
- Must be able to move/lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted.
Schedule: Full-Time/Days; 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM
Pay: $16.50-$18.00/hr. Health insurance, PTO, and retirement plan available.
