Role
We are looking for a qualified Systems Administrator that will manage and maintain computer systems and networks to an excellent standard. You will also create and implement user best practices of the systems to make appropriate and safe usage of the IT infrastructure.
A successful Systems Administrator must have a thorough knowledge of computer software and hardware and a variety of internet applications, networks and operating systems. The ideal candidate will also have great troubleshooting abilities and attention to detail.
The overall purpose is to own and integrate cloud management platforms such as Jamf and Okta to build a seamless environment that grows fluidly through SSO and other scalable practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- Experience managing, troubleshooting, and administering macOS, Jamf, Google Workspace, and Okta.
- Relentless attention to infosec best practices.
- Excellent listening and interpersonal skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience deploying and setting up servers, networks, firewalls, switches, wireless, etc.
- Experience in project management.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines on a tight schedule.
- Experience with technical writing for end user procedure and instructional documentation.
- Experience in desktop hardware and server hardware.
- Experience in software support, troubleshooting, and resolution.
- Work hours are approximately Mon - Fri 9am- 5pm MT. We work sporting events on the weekends so work after hours is probable.
Responsibilities
- Jamf/JumpCloud to create and deploy packages to setup/manage macOS and Windows policies, patch management. We are primarily a macOS company.
- Okta/Google Workspace administration and implementation.
- Maintaining inventory of all equipment, software licenses, and users for each utilizing Asset Panda.
- Create and implement IT environment best practices for a growing startup organization.
- This position evaluates, installs, and troubleshoots software.
- Develops, documents, and performs tasks needed to integrate new technologies into existing environments.
- Completes audits and reviews of software, cloud systems, and network infrastructure.
- Completes data backups and migrations as needed.
- Applies operating system updates, patches, and configuration in coordination with senior team members.
- Adds, removes, or updates user account information, resetting passwords, etc
- Investigates technical queries and resolves user issues.
- Maintaining inventory of all equipment, software licenses, and users for each.
