Responsibilities:
- Follow up on productivity, downtime, delays, and quality KPIs for the raw materials department
- Oversee rail road operations direct employees (Loco motive)
- Perform quality, and safety inspections
- Inventory control for scrap and melt shop raw materials.
- Coordinate 3rd. party Heavy Cleaning and Scrap Handling activities ( Harsco)
- Follow up on training requirements
- Interface with maintenance on routine and non-routine items
- Interface with IT and Automation departments to finetune scrap management system (SICRAM)
- Perform accidents and incidents investigation
- Manage Safety and Quality actions to be implemented
- Report on consumptions and interact with suppliers to guarantee stocks.
- Analyze and provide solutions for critical failures
- Interface with ancillary departments (Operations, Safety, Quality, Maintenance, SUCH)
Education/Experience:
- Relevant technical diploma or degree and previous experience 3-5 years in an industrial, manufacturing environment required
- or 10 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment
- Ability to perform failure analysis and provide solution-based ideas
- Good knowledge of software such as Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
Skills:
- Previous experience in the Manufacturing industry is an asset
- Intermediate Excel and Office skills
- Safety and Quality minded, detail-oriented, with strong follow-up and analytical skills, Boots on the ground personality, interpersonal skills to work with all levels of the company
