Job Summary:
This position provides exposure to work within an interdisciplinary project team comprised of engineers, environmental scientists, plant asset and operations managers, financial and market analysts, and business development professionals. This is a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment where creativity and a thorough understanding of complex technical issues are required to provide innovative energy project solutions for its stakeholders.
The successful candidate will provide technical support, using analytical skills and engineering principles, to various tasks in support of (A) development phase renewable energy (solar, wind, battery storage, and CO2 sequestration) projects, (B) existing power plants, and (C) evaluation of new technologies (e.g. Hydrogen, fuel cells, bulk energy storage) and potential acquisitions.
Essential Job Functions:
- Support project development
- Participate in technical due diligence
- Provide project engineering support
- Work closely with an engineering project manager and/or project engineer
- Present and summarize work task findings with coworkers and management
- Some travel may be required
Basic Requirements:
Strong technical and analytical skills Strong communication and interpersonal skills Preferably a 3rd year Mechanical or Electrical Engineering student; other engineering disciplines will be considered.
