Director of Nursing (DON)

We are looking for an DON, RN to add to our growing team supporting the medically complex and fragile pediatric population. Tender Care is the 1st independently owned PPEC in the State of Florida with our initial center opening in 1988. Our mission is dedicated to providing the highest quality of care. We provide skilled nursing care, a variety of therapies, education, nutritious meals, and door to door transportation to all patients. We are open Monday through Saturday from 6am to 6pm.

This position is eligible for an $8,000 sign on bonus!

At Tender Care, there’s no revolving door of patients or hospital setting chaos. All nurses are assigned a number of familiar faces each day to treat and care for, and our consistent nursing ratio ensures you are never overwhelmed.

The schedule for this position is Monday through Friday 8am to 430pm, with rotating Saturday On-Call responsibilities.

Your job duties will include:

• POCs, Authorizations, Eligibility, and Scheduling
• Manage Nursing Staff
• Patient Treatments & Medications
• Patient Physical Assessments
• Documentation of care
• Feedings (G/J tubes as well)
• Emotional Support

A qualified candidate will meet the following criteria:

• Active RN License & CPR Certification
• Level 2 Background Screening Clearance
• Minimum of 2 years Experience in Pediatric Nursing Care
• Minimum of 6 months Experience in Intensive Pediatrics (PICU, NICU, PPEC)
• Possess a high degree of patience for possible behavioral difficulties in patients
• Have dual focus with ability to effectively multitask and prioritize
