Tenet3^® is seeking a full-time Controller to join our team in Dayton, Ohio. As a key member of the Operations team, you will directly impact the success and growth of Tenet3. 

Experience in financial statement preparation, customer invoicing, accounts payable, and payroll processing is required. Knowledge of government contract accounting practices as well as GAAP are preferred. You will be a key team member in working with Tenet3’s President, Operations Officer, Chief Strategy Officer, and Director of Programs. 

Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities

• Manage typical business activities including payroll processing, accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger account reconciliations and financial statement preparation timely and accurately.
• Assist with government contract accounting compliance requirements, including incurred cost submission and provisional billing rate submission.
• Apply government contracting knowledge to perform various tasks involving the accounting and reconciliation of contract receivables, revenue, cost accumulation and reporting.
• Apply knowledge of government regulations to employee and subcontractor travel and other expense submissions.
• Ability to maintain concise and accurate documentation.
• Prepare monthly financials and financial analysis thoroughly and accurately.

Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field from an accredited college or university.
• 5 years of accounting experience.
• Demonstrated ability to conduct financial analyses.
• Advanced Microsoft Office Suite skills, particularly including advanced Excel functions.
• Demonstrated ability to achieve set deadlines.
• Strong interpersonal and written communication skills with a respectful, positive, professional presentation style.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong initiative, work ethic, innovation and entrepreneurial spirit.
• Must be a U.S. citizen and be willing to obtain and maintain a Top Secret clearance.

Desired/Preferred Skills:

• Experience and knowledge of government/DoD contract accounting practices including billing processes and standards.
• Experience with defense industry contractors or experience as a government program employee.
• Fundamental knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting.
• Experience with QuickBooks and Timekeeping software.

Hybrid Position

This position requires 3 days per week in Tenet3 Headquarters, downtown Dayton, Ohio, then working from home typically 2 days per week.
