KVS Team Leader
JOB SCOPE : Direct and lead all employees within the area of responsibility. Assist the area Supervisor in completing production requirements, evaluating employee performance, managing productivity and enring quality to are at pre-determined levels.
Coordinates employees training and cross training while maintaining company policies and a safe work environment.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES :
Directs and leads all employees within the area of responsibility in coordination and in the absence of the area Supervisor.
Leads by example, maintains professionalism, and treats everyone with respect in all aspects of the position.
Displays a high standard of professionalism, ethics, integrity and consistency in all actions and communications at all times.
Holds themselves and their team members accountable to Tenneco’s Values and Code of Conduct.
Works with employees to ensure compliance with all safety policies / requirements / daily safety checks and recommends modifications to equipment and processes to improve the safety of the facility.
Immediately stops any unsafe activities. Reinforces positive safety actions and coaches when improvement is needed.
Regularly reviews production white boards and addresses identified issues to ensure productivity metrics are met. Recommends overtime when necessary to meet on-time delivery goals.
Create and disposition quality rejections.
Escalates any training concerns to the area supervisor and the training coordinator. Works with the supervisor to ensure adequate cross training to cover absences and support the production requirements.
